This modern ukiyo-e reinterpretation features a woman in traditional kimono illuminated by the glow of a smartphone screen. With earbuds in and a slender kiseru pipe balanced in hand, the composition seamlessly blends Edo-period elegance with present-day habits of scrolling and streaming. The flat composition and woodblock-style textures pay homage to classic Japanese printmaking, while the eerie blue light evokes a familiar digital solitude.
